Although I love cooking if I do say so myself, I have to admit that it is always a great feeling to be pampered and to be cooked for at times. Today's feature is the boyfriend's version of the ever popular Spaghetti Aglio Olio. Instead of only using olive oil as is the classic version, he used a little pat of butter which added to the flavouring and some dried chili peppers (Malaysian style huh?). Anyway, the end result was satisfying and definitely delicious in my books. Topped with some fresh oregano, it made a great lunch! Thanks D <3 br="">
Ingredients:
1/2 packet of pasta (cook according to package instructions - I like to use lightly salted water)
1 cup of shrimp, shelled
Handful of dried chili peppers
1/2 bulb garlic, roughly chopped
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter (optional)
Dash of paprika powder
Handful of fresh oregano
1 tbsp salt
Method:
Set aside cooked pasta. Heat up your pan and add olive oil. Add garlic and stir around briskly. Add butter. Turn in the chili peppers. Add shrimp. Add in the cooked pasta and turn to toss evenly. Add salt. Add the paprika and oregano. Serve hot.
