Easy Honey Glazed Chicken Wings Recipe

Monday, October 19, 2015 | Labels: , , , |

I love chicken wings and there's no easier way to prepare some by just putting them in a good marinade and simply roasting them in the oven.  Relatively mess-free and oh so yummy.  For today's feature, I decided to use a mixture of soy sauces and red wine as the marinade while the wings were all glazed with honey right before putting them in the oven.  Finger licking good!

Chicken wings

This recipe is part of my Yuen Chun Recipes.  Hope you'll give this a try soon! You can just use drumsticks if that's what you prefer.

I try to marinade the chicken wings for at least 1 hour or 2 so please plan accordingly.

Ingredients:

8 chicken wings, cleaned and patted dry with paper towels

Marinade: (all soy sauces from Yuen Chun)
3 tablespoons light soy sauce
1 tablespoon thick caramel sauce
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce (this gives it the lovely colour)
1 teaspoon bonito sauce (new item)
1/4 cup red wine
Dash of sugar (or use mirin)
Dash of white pepper
1 tablespoon honey

Glaze:
Enough honey for glazing

Pre-heat oven to about 120 C.  Depending on your oven, please adjust pre-heating time accordingly.

Place the chicken wings on an oven tray with adequate space from each wing.  Glaze the tops of the wings with the honey.  Roast in oven for about 30-40 minutes or until fully cooked.

Serve.
