Chinese sausages have a uniquely sweet and savoury taste and quite a chewy texture. These sausages are also good on their own, simply steamed served with hot rice or they also make good omelettes. This is another quick dish - perfect for those of you who don't want to labour in the kitchen for too long but unwilling to compromise on flavour (haha).
Ingredients:
4 chicken thighs, cubed (get boneless ones if you can, easier to cube)
4 Chinese sausages, sliced diagonally
3 cloves garlic, minced or sliced
4 tbsps dark soy sauce
2-3 tsp sugar
1/4 cup water
Green onions for garnish (optional)
Method:
First, boil or steam the sausages for about 3 minutes. Next, slice diagonally and set aside. Saute the garlic in hot oil until fragrant. Add the Chinese sausages and stir around for a bit. Next, add in the chicken cubes. Now, add the soy sauce and sugar. Finally add in the water, bring to a boil and turn heat lower for the chicken to simmer until cooked. Garnish with some chopped green onions (optional).
